Alexy Hot Rod Lincoln of Aksum ("Linc") is Aksum's first in-house stud and also the first foundation stud in our sex-linked red breeding program.

Linc is all boy! He's very confident, and plays rough and tumble with his cat buddies. He has a distinctive proud, regal look, like a miniature cougar. He is a real sweetheart and loves attention. He doesn't know a stranger and will say hello to anybody who comes by.

Linc is a red (and chocolate) male Aby. Since the red is dominant, you can only see his red color. This is NOT the same red as the CFA color red, which is also called sorrel, and is the cinnamon color in TICA.

Linc is an excellent example of this new sex-linked red color. He is one of those "perfect Abys" with a totally fearless, extremely friendly personality, very nice conformation and excellent ear set.

We asked Bruce Alexy for a stud and queen pair that would produce the very rare cream females, and Linc is the stud boy we took home at four months old on October 2, 2008. He will pair up with our new blue torbie female Alexy Blue Cream Sky of Aksum aka "Sky" (who we also took home on October 2nd) to produce several different possible colors, including the extremely rare and beautiful creams.

We expect the first litter from Linc and Sky January 6, 2010. The coat colors of their kittens could be any of the 14 non-silver Aby colors since Linc's underlying "black" color is chocolate. Linc's father and grandfather are chocolate also.

DNA testing from UC Davis confirmed December 5, 2008 that Linc is chocolate carrying cinnamon and dilute. UC Davis also confirmed Linc is PK Def and PRA negative and is not a carrier (N/N).
