Rose is a cinnamon torbie Abyssinian carrying dilute, born 6/29/07. Cinnamon is the new TICA name for Sorrel, and is also known as Red in CFA. It is one of the four generally accepted colors for Abys.

Cinnamon torbie is also one of the sex-linked red colors. It is the hardest to distinguish from the original cinnamon color because the cinnamon and red colors are nearly the same shade of red and are mixed together in a random pattern, which is why we thought she was a cinnamon until very recently.

Rose was the third best Aby kitten in the TICA SE region for the 2007-2008 season with several ribbons. She is a very active, happy cat who purrs a lot and gets along very well with other cats. She always makes sure to say hello regularly and purr loudly to express her affection. Her kittens all have her lovely purr.

Rose has had her first litter of kittens with Traveler, with two beautiful cinnamon kittens that have gone to new owners and a lovely ruddy torbie named Aksum Light My Fire we kept to help show the new torbie colors toward Championship status.

We expect her next litter of kittens to be ready to go to their new homes in mid 2010.
