Dry cat food :

Only dry food brands with more than 40% protein (preferably 55%), about 30% fat and less than 10% carbohydrates are best for cats.

This is the latest successful dry food we are using here at Aksum Abyssinians. It is well liked and well tolerated by all of our cats and kittens.

It has 42% protein, 18% fat and is grain-free. Supplements a cat needs such as taurine and Vitamin A are all included.

The gimmick of the "wild food" is not a plus or a minus for us.

Canned cat food :

Organics by Nature

This is a great canned cat food. Not only does it contain organic meat, it is 95% meat and 5% filtered water and vitamins.

My cats do very well on it, no stomach or intestinal problems at all.

Felidae Canned Food

My favorite canned food so far. My cats all love this food! It has excellent quality ingredients and high protein content, no grain (but rice is 7th ingredient). It has never had a food recall and is not made at the manufacturing plant that had all of the problems.
